Finally had a chance to update my demo reel over the past few weekends to include a range of work over the last year. Hope you enjoy and FYI the track is “Life on the Nickel” by Foster the People.

The 360 Project: Krump & Ballet

With over 200,000 hits on Vimeo alone, Ryan Enn Hughes’ 360 Project is generating some serious buzz. I collaborated with Ryan during the editing process, taking rotating images and manipulating them to create two shorts: Ballet & Krump. The first is a softer edit with subtle glitch edits, the second is a lot more hard hitting with stutters, sporadic placement and bold glitch effects. Check out the two shorts and behind the scenes video below!

C Walk by Ryan Enn Hughes

Very cool video I helped edit for Ryan Enn Hughes. We worked out the shot order then he worked his magic with a textured treatment.

Ballet

A short piece showcasing a National Ballet of Canada principal dancer performing on white. The focus here was to edit her movement into one flowing sequence of physical movement; the antithesis to RGB Move.

Bugs!

The latest short I edited for Ryan Enn Hughes is now available online. I really enjoyed working on this project because of the creative freedom allowed. I wanted the twitch-like movement of the insects to transcend the entire short, which resulted in an intense edit. The music by Professor Kliq also helped to sustain that intensity. Check it out below!

RGB Move

RGB MOVE from Ryan Enn Hughes on Vimeo.

Ryan Enn Hughes just posted an hd version of the video so please check it out below or go here to view it in HD.

Amber Heard FASHION April 2010 cover shoot

A behind the scenes look at Amber Heards FASHION Magazine cover shoot in L.A. with photographer Michael Williams. When you’re working with footage of such beautiful talent it’s hard not to go all out on the video edit.
Colour footage shot on a Canon 5D MKII. The B&W was shot with a consumer digital still camera.

Maroc (teaser)

A teaser for my upcoming short about my journey through Morocco.

A night at the game (Raptors vs Cavaliers)

Well the Raptors didn’t do their best against the Cavaliers and there’s a lot of reasons why, including LeBron James. Rather than go into all that I decided to edit my game footage into a little short.

Final Score: Celeveland Cavaliers 93 Toronto Raptors 76.
